Sum Fun Mountain Cabin

This is a great place if you have dogs. It’s like the house was meant just for them and the humans are secondary lol. Great fence. Has blankets to cover up their furniture. Even included 2 dog kennels which saved us space for our trip without having to pack them.
We had a great time and would return when we travel this way again. Thanks for having us. 

We’ve been visiting the Blue Ridge/Cherry Mountain area for years however our family home there recently sold and this was our first time renting. We have fur babies we love the travel with and were so worried we wouldn’t find a place that would welcome them. Sum Fun offered that and more. Their consideration for the pups, from convenient poop pals😂 too the fenced in porch & yard were amazing. And the pup rock painting challenge SO much fun. Lewis & Nalu thank you as do we!!
We had two adult couples so the multi floor living was perfect allowing everyone the privacy they needed 🙏 we look forward to returning to Sum Fun. We come for the golf and the mountains, but always leave with so much more ❤️

Absolutely the most relaxing and beautiful home ever! The view is beyond words. I did not want to leave. So dog friendly! My two loved being allowed to snuggle with me on the couch with special dog blankets. We walked right out the door onto trails every day. I did not drive anywhere the whole time. Drank coffee on the porch at sunrise, hiked with dogs, hot tub time, cooked dinner and watched the sunset. Best vacation ever!! Will definitely return. 

The views!!! The views were so amazing from this place. As a Florida girl we don’t get to see mountains so I really appreciated staying at this property to fully enjoy the Mountain views (especially from the hot tub since it was a bit chilly). The house was also amazing for the pups. The details like dog towels and hose off areas were so nice. Also the place was extremely clean, especially for a place allowing dogs. The game room was a huge hit for my 6 year old. I think he would have been happy never leaving the house!  

 Great property. Excellent amenities,definitely perfect place for furbabies( plenty of dog towels, blankets,wipes, poop bags , stainless steel and ceramic bowls etc) u really don't need to bring much. Property fully fenced that's was a "selling" factor for us, u can just let dogs out first thing in the morning when u r still having Your coffee in pyjama's 😁. A lot of books and fun games u can't get bored over there. Hot tub very well maintained.
Kitchen well stocked up with everything u need to prepare Your meals.
Very clean. Main deck with breathtaking views❤️.
Ride to the cabin from main road is pretty adventures 😉. As much as I love mountains I hate those roads😁.
We will be getting back tho. 

The house is as described and in great condition. Our host was easy to access and had thought through so many details in the cabin. Lots of little extras that made it easy to get settled for a short stay but also left us wishing we could have stayed longer. There’s a beautiful view and we thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit, hammock, and hot tub. If we had stayed another day, we would have likely been able to find time to play games in the basement. It is very dog-friendly and we really appreciated being able to bring ours along with us! Would definitely recommend and are already thinking about coming back next year! 

The best Cabin that we’ve ever stayed in by far! Forget Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Blue Ridge/Ellijay did not disappoint!! The Mountain View from the decks were spectacular. The setup of the cabin, especially with kids and a dog was absolutely perfect. The beds were super comfortable. The owner has thought of EVERYTHING to make it an easy stay with your fur family. Our girls, 9&6, loved sleeping downstairs with their pup, rock painting, playing board games on the deck, the fire pit, the hot tub of course and the easy walk to the Benton MacKaye Trail from the cabin.
We took the Train to Copperhill/McCaysville. It was a really fun experience for all of us. We also took an easy 50 minute drive to Springer Mountain to hike the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail.
We are already planning our next trip back! 

 It’s very rare that you find a place that is super dog friendly, yet very clean!
I can’t wait to come back for another stay.
Everything was above & beyond. 

 We had such a beautiful experience. The space is fully equipped for fur babies and could not be more appreciative of all the details. We wanted to take a little trip to the mountains with our 3 dogs and my folks. It's really difficult to find places that can accommodate 3 LARGE dogs (all German shepherds) and within a fair and affordable price point. We had such a blast and our pups had a wonderful time exploring and running around the yard. Having a fully fenced in yard gave us piece of mind and allowed us to really relax into this cozy home. Thank you for creating and offering a space for us to connect and have fun! We can't wait to come back and visit.
